Sony regsitered a new WX800 compact camera in Korea. It’s unlcear what improvements we can expect over the current WX500 model. Note that Sony recently also has registered a new WX700 code.
Sony Photokina press conference is over and as Sony said this was a strategy meeting. So our rumors were spot on and as expected there were no new products. I think this is the first time ever Sony does not directly announce anything at Photokina (the 24mm GM lens was announced last week).
The A7III should be in Stock in a few days according to an updated info posted by Adorama (Click here). And the Tamron 28-75mm FE is expected to be in Stock on Sept 20 at Amazon US (Click here).
The final specs and pricing of the new Voigtlander Color Skopar 21mm f/3.5 E-mount lens will be announced tomorrow (Sept 19).

Next Tuesday at 10am Berlin time Sony will have a one hour press conference. The same trusted sources that correctly gave us the 24mm GM lens rumors confirmed that we shouldn’t expect any new product announcement (camera or lens). Sony unofficially told journalists to wait til October to see some new stuff.
