via CameraSizeHere is the size comparison between the three 85mm FE lenses. In that case I have no doubt the smaller Sony f/1.8 FE lens is the best choice unless you really need that tiny faster aperture. The GM is the bokeh king while the Sigma is the sharper than the GM. But I think the Sigma is really way too big for my taste :)
I do own the 85mm f/1.8 and it’s super for my hiking trips (light and sharp). Get it!
I got this image last week but I didn’t post it because I know with 100% certainty this is fake. But some sites posted exactly theses specs and readers asked my opinion on this. So here is my opinion: It is fake as you can see from the image showing the FF sensor inside the body. Moreover I know the source of this image and I know it has a long history of sharing such fake spec lists.
Skylum announced that it will launch Luminar 3 with Libraries on December 18. This would make it officially a direct Lightroom competitor. If you plan to buy Luminar use the coupon code “SAR” you will get $10 off.
This isn’t a scientific or precise tool to measure a cameras success. But just out of curiosity here is the Google Trend comparison between the new EOS-R, Z7-Z6 and A7III. It seems to show that none of the new Canon and Nikon cameras can really “out-trend” the Sony A7III.
I still have a fresh memory of the days when Samsung was claiming they would become the number one company in the system mirrorless camera world. Well it didn’t end well for them. I hope the following Nikon statement will not bring them bad luck too. In an interview released at Dpreview Nikon said:
Mitakon announced they will produce a new batch of 135mm f/1.4 FE lenses. But a special preorder on their website is required. The problem is that there seems to be no english website to make a proper order. The lens will cost 330,000 YEN which is roughly $2900.
