As we already report that upcoming Nikon Z8 could use that 61MP full frame CMOS sensor that used on recently released a7R IV(B&H Photo Video/Adorama/Amazon). Now according to latest leak from NR, a leaked screenshot of a new Nikon camera manual that confirms the a new Nikon camera (Nikon Z8) will have a 60.8MP (9552×6364) sensor and the new 16-bit NEF files (Nikon will introduce a lossy compressed RAW codec to reduce the file size).

Nikon has also registered three unannounced camera codes N1722 (First time saw this code), N1834, N1912 at Chinese MIIT. According to registered info, the N1722 and N1912 has same 5.8GHz Wi-Fi as already released Nikon Z6 & Z7 full frame mirrorless cameras. As already rumored before, the N1912 could be Nikon’s first APS-C Z-mount mirrorless camera. The N1722 could be either Nikon D6 flagship DSLR camera or Nikon Z8 high-megapixel full frame mirrorless camera. While there is still no info about N1834 (Could be upcoming Nikon D760 ?)
The upcoming Nikon’s APS-C Z-mount mirrorless camera is expected to be announced in later 2019. According to our source, this Z-mount mirrorless camera could use Sony’s 26MP IMX571 APS-C CMOS sensor. You can take a look at specs sheet of IMX571 here. The Fujifilm X-T3 and X-T30 also use this sensor.
