Firmware: Updates for the EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III and EF 600mm f/4L IS III can be found

Canon has launched new firmware for its newest super-telephoto lenses, the EF 400mm f/2.8L IS III USM and the EF 600mm f/4L IS III USM.

Firmware Version 1.1.2 incorporates the next enhancements:

  1. Increases the guide focus velocity when the guide focus velocity swap is ready to 1 or 2. *The velocity when the swap is ready to three (slowest velocity) will probably be unchanged.
  2. Improves the picture stabilization impact throughout handheld taking pictures with a sluggish shutter velocity when used with EOS 5D Mark IV, EOS 6D, or EOS R.

*Enables a full-time guide focus operate throughout Servo AF when used with the EOS-1D X Mark II. The lens should be despatched to the Factory Service Center to ensure that this operate to be enabled.

If the lens’ firmware is already Version 1.1.2, it isn’t essential to replace the firmware.

The lens firmware model might be checked from the digicam’s menu.

SteelRing GFX Nikon AF Adapter Finally Available

The SteelRing NK-F/GFX adapter has been a long time coming and many have checked their site daily for signs of its release, but now it is finally here on Amazon of all places. Hopefully, it lives up to the hype because most AF adapters tend to focus on Canon glass over Nikon due to it being difficult to port/translate Nikon’s electronic lens communication.
