Replace: Canon USA has eliminated the hyperlink and firmware notes for model 1.4.Zero for the Canon EOS R. The discharge date seems to be to be September 26, 2019.

Canon has launched new firmware for the Canon EOS R. This can be a main firmware replace with loads of autofocus updates and bug fixes.

Firmware Model 1.4.Zero incorporates the next enhancement:

  • Enhances eye detection Auto Focus (AF) for improved face and eye recognition at better distances.
  • Improved Auto Focus (AF) efficiency helps the digital camera to give attention to and monitor smaller topics.
  • Reduces lag time between the precise Auto Focus (AF) and the AF body show for photographs within the viewfinder or on the LCD.
  • Fixes a phenomenon during which the AF body measurement can’t be modified within the Servo AF setting.
  • Fixes PTP communication vulnerability.
